started working on my doctor who comic again! YAYE!! It does seem that 5 months out of the loop has taken its toll though. I feel like I've forgotten how to draw. Also I made the mistake with the 3rd page of drawing a quick sketch and then scanning it in instead of drawing a complete drawing first and scanning it in. I actually spend more time in the long run tweaking the hell out of it in photoshop before I can even start coloring.
I haven't seen the new doctor who or torchwood so I bet half of this comic will be jossed or has already been, but thats okay. I probably won't change it, I'm fine with a bit of AU as long as it means Rose, Doc and Jack get to have raunchy sex with each other. I'm not even past the prologue part yet, my actual script doesn't start until the 5th page. Can't believe i'm so inefficeint with this stuff.
Anyone with any experience drawing comics or making webcomics have any advice? At first I wanted 2 pages a week, then 1 page a week... now I'd be happy with 1 every 3 months. RAWR
This summer I'm going crazy though. I plan on getting at least halfway through the comic (thats 4 issues = at least 10-15 pages each) so ... 4 month summer.. 10-15 pages a month! 3 pages a week? yeeks. i'd rather downground the quality a bit and speed up the process. especially on the coloring bit.
on a side note...my soar throat is freaking KILLING ME. I feel so sick, ugh. And I'd like to take this opportunity to say just how wonderful my boyfriend is. He stayed up with me past his bedtime tonight to watch THREE episodes of Doctor Who with me, got me cough drops and water AND picked up some indian food for us so I wouldnt have to go outside. *best boyfriend ever award goes to...*
